  Is Knowing/Using The Name Of God Important?

  i say no.. although the tetragrammaton appears close to 7000 times in the hebrew scriptures, the personal name of god does not.

  seems to me that god made sure that both that his personal name does not appear therein and that no one would ever actually know it or learn even how to pronounce it.

  he also made sure that his name (baring 3 hallelujahs in revelation) did not appear in the new testament.

  i think its very important using gods real name..be it Thor--Vishnu--Baal--or whatever.

  not at all sure about this name jehovah though. did he create the vacuum cleaner ?

  prediction: Farage will be invited by labour to stand for them at the Batley by-election. thats a shoe-in. then he will be elected as leader of the labour party. then the goverment will go to the country--and we will have Farage as prime minister. then the shit will hit the fan.

  Why have there been so many people blind to the corruption of the Watchtower Corporation ?

  based from many of the doctrines the wts has come forth with since its existence as publishing house which were obviously incorrect or false and propagated doesn't make you wonder why there were so many who embraced this organization with full devotion and acceptance ?

  even back in the late 1800's there was scrutinizing skepticism to what the leaders of the wts theologically taught.

  millions of people since then have accepted the teachings of a really couple novice bible theologians, who brought forth many weakly supported doctrines such as and concerning that mankind was living in the end times and all of mankind should be prepared for its imminent destruction.. very view other christian based faiths from catholicism or protestantism have made these kind of outlandish doctrinal assertions and they make up an overwhelming greater amount of practicing theologians, to those who achieved a high a level of academic training in bible theory.

  my own observations and opinion ?---

  the cult appeals to the have-nots--who feel excluded from middle class mainstream religions. they really look forward to the death and destruction of those they would like to aspire to and are deeply jealous of.

  Calling All Who Were JWs Between 1967 and 1980

  hello jwn,.

  to introduce myself, i am still in the jws but learned ttatt some months ago.

  i now ask this question to get more info on a past teaching.. between 1967 and 1980 was when the 'current understanding' of the wts was that organ transplants were cannibalism, and thus abhorrent.

  so--whats the rule now ? i remember my jw dad saying--years ago--it was considered cannibalism.

  on my dads side--lots of the family have died through heart problems ( non of them dubs )--although dad lived to 94--he passed this january.

  one of my cousins had a heart and lung transplant a few years ago--hes doing well now ( never a dub ). it was a Papworth Hospital UK job.

  back in the day when i was a young dub--i found i could not read the literature--i mean--really. my eyesight would not focus on the paragraphs. i got my eyes tested--nothing wrong with it. even bought reading glasses--still no good. i think my mind was trying to tell me something.

  - which is the purpose of these business and company structures?.

  The 1975 Generation---are they still around?

  i was raised as a jw and 1975 expectations were pretty intense.

  as i recall, most people did not leave after the failed expectations but many s l o w e d down.

  now, i think most of the 1975 witnesses are gone or barely in.. is the older generation still around in the kingdom halls or are they much gone?.

  i was a pioneer and a servant in the late 60's--married in '68.

  1975 was all we ever heard--and believed. by 71 i decided enough was enough--and was out.

  i remember visiting like minded friends in '76---and had a good laugh we were still alive !

  what a load of old baloney. i bet the watchtower just hopes it all goes away--along with russell--rutherturd--blood transfusions----all the old twaddle they used to peddle.
